Willow and Co. Antalya Dress

I am so happy to join the Willow and Co. blog tour today! I love Willow and Co.'s patterns and have sewn up almost all of them (like the Clover shorts, Fawn Lily, Mulberry Tunic, Persimmon dress, and this Aster Cardigan).  Willow and Co. recently released 5 new patterns, 2 girls patterns, 2 women's patterns, and a bag for both girls and women.  I got the chance to sew up the new Antalya Dress!

I love the details on this dress!  It has dolman sleeves and a drop waist skirt that gathers at the sides and around the back.

The cool curved panels on the front and back make for really fun color blocking options or are perfect for adding some piping detail,

The neckline is finished with binding and you have the option of either button loops or and exposed zip at the back.

The skirt is slightly lower in the back and has plenty of twirl factor!

The pattern has sizes 12 months - 12.  I sewed up the dress in a size 2 for my petite almost 3 year old.  The dress is looser fitting and the dolman sleeves are seem comfortable, perfect for play!  The loose fitting design leaves plenty of growing room, I think we will get tons of use out of this dress!

I sewed up the dress in this dot fabric I picked up at Joann's that makes me think of confetti sprinkles!  I love that from far away it reads like a neutral, almost grey or lavender, but up close its a party!

Thanks Willow and Co. for having me on the tour!  Make sure you swing by their blog to check out all the other wonderful things being sewn up!  And you can find all of their new patterns in their shop!

The Ash Jumpsuit

I shared this jumpsuit over a Pattern Revolution a few weeks ago so you may have already seen it.  But it is so cute I think it deserves to be shared again :)  This is the adorable Ash Jumpsuit, a pattern by Willow and Co.  I have sewn over half of Willow and Co's patterns already and they are all great! This one was no exception.  (You can take a look at some of the other Willow and Co patterns I have sewn...Clover Shorts, Persimmon dress, Mulberry Tunic, fawn Lilly tunic, and this post has more Clovers and an Aster Cardigan)

Soooo cute, right?  This jumpsuit is perfect for running, climbing, and playing.  And I love that it has no buttons or zippers so my 2 year old can get it on by herself.  It has a halter top with an elastic casing around the neck and back, as well as elastic at the waist and optional elastic at the hem.

I picked up this small print floral at Joann's and paired it with a navy solid at the waist.  I made a size 2 and it fits her like a store bought size 2.  She is small so it has a bit of growing room which I am happy about, this is going to be adorable in spring!

You can find the Ash Jumpsuit along with all the other great Willow and Co patterns over at their website. Go check them out!

Mulberry Tunic

The Mulberry Tunic, by Olga of Kid Approved, is the fourth pattern that I had the opportunity to test for Willow & Co (you can see the other three here, here, and here) and just love this one!

Eeek!  Isn’t it adorable on her?!

This pattern is unisex too, so I need to get my act together and make one of A as well.  The pattern has an option for a hood, I think he *needs* one with a hood!

I sewed the shirt up in a size 18 months for Em.  Before I sewed the buttons on I thought it was going to be too big, but once I got the buttons all on and put it on her, it was just perfect! I love the looser fit.

I used some polka dot fabric from Riley Blake’s Sunny Happy Skies line (isn’t that an awesome name for a fabric line?)  I don’t think you can ever go wrong with polka dots and they are darling on this shirt.

The shirt has pockets in the side seams which Em was excited to find.  She is always looking of pockets in her clothing and is usually pretty upset if she doesn’t find any…this girl needs somewhere to store her rocks :)

All of Willow & Co’s new pattern line will be released next week, make sure you check it out, they have some really great stuff!

Fawn Lily Tunic

Today I am sharing the third of four patterns I tested for Willow & Co (you can catch the first two here and here if you missed them).  This is the Fawn Lily tunic designed by Rebecca from Rock the Stitch and man is it cute!

This tunic has a really unique design; I have never seen anything quite like it before.  It has a really cool crossover yoke that eliminates the need for any type of closures, so no button holes to sew or zippers to install…awesome!
It also has a pretty unique construction and you end up with no exposed seams on the sleeves.

I used some hounds tooth fabric from Michael Millers Bella Butterfly line that I have been hanging on to for about a year along with the fabric I used in my Persimmon dress.  It felt good to finally use it and I just love how it looks on this top.  I paired it with a solid blue I picked up at Joann’s

This pattern also comes with a dress option, I decided to go with the tunic because I have been making Em so many dresses lately, and it was nice to add a top to her wardrobe.  There are also options for a gathered skirt or pleated skirt and options for a button yole and pleated sleeves.

I have one more Willow & Co pattern I tested to share with you tomorrow so swing by and check it out!

The Persimmon Dress

Today I am sharing another pattern from Willow &Co.  Yesterday I shared the shorts I sewed from the Clover Shorts pattern, and today I am sharing another one of Hayley's patterns, the Persimmon Dress and Top.

I sewed this dress with some fabrics from Michael Millers Out to Sea line.  I have had these two fabrics in my stash for about a year now and I could never find a pattern where I thought the two looked good together, but I finally found it!

This dress has such a sweet, simple design.  I am not usually a big fan of ruffles but I really like the little ruffle detail on the sides of this one, it is just the right amount of ruffle.

I think it’s a perfect summer dress, sweet and girly!  This pattern will be released next week with the rest of Willow & Co's new collection

Clover Shorts

Have you guys heard about Willow & Co?  They are a new pattern collective, a group of 10 pattern designers, and they are releasing their first collection next week, on the 22nd.  I had the opportunity to test four of the new patterns and will be sharing what I made with you this week.  Today I am sharing these adorable shorts….

These are the Clover Shorts designed by Hayley over at Welcome to the Mouse House.  She is great, I have tested patterns for her in the past (like the Caroline and the Norah and some of her women's patterns I haven't gotten around to blogging yet) and always love them, this one is no different!

You guys know how much I like to sew with seersucker….and how much I love to sew kid’s shorts…so I think these seersucker kid’s shorts are pretty much amazing!  And Em likes them too, mostly because they have pockets.  Once she found those pockets she did not take her hands out of them!

I sewed these up in the size 18 months for Em.  I love that they have a flat front, makes them look more grown up.  They also have an optional sash which I skipped, it is hard enough to get this girl to stand still to get clothes on her you can forget about trying to tie anything!

I really love the length of these shorts, the bottom cuffs get folded up, but if you like a longer short on your girl you can leave them unfolded, they would be about an inch longer.

Thanks Hayley for such a great pattern! I know there are lots more Clover shorts in Em’s future wardrobe!
