It is really hard to pick a favorite from the patterns I have tested for Christie's new line, but this Decklyn Jacket definitely ranks towards the top. I am a bit sad to see the cold weather going now so she won't get to wear it too much longer...OK...just kidding, I am thrilled to see the cold weather going away, I really hate the cold. But I really am sad she won't get to wear this cute jacket much longer.
This jacket is designed for medium weight fabrics, I chose a lighter weight denim for mine. It is actually all made from the same fabric, the darker denim is one side of the fabric and the lighter is the reverse. And it has a cute light blue polka dot lining...which you can't see in any of these photos, bummer!
The jacket features some fun zipper details and has belt loops and an optional belt.
Like all of Blaverry's patterns, the Decklyn is professionally drafted and comes in sizes 9 months through 16. I sewed up the size 2 for Em, the fit is spot on!
This jacket pattern is recommended for intermediate seamstresses. It isn't a tough sew, but it is time consuming and there are lots of pieces, and it has all those zippers.
I have lots more Blaverry patterns I will be sharing with you very soon! You can check out the Decklyn over on Blaverry's website!
