These are the Aviator pants, a pattern made by my friend Suzanne from Winter Wear Designs. They are a cute knit pant with tons of options!

I made A a size 5 in these pants hoping they will fit him through the winter. The pattern comes in sizes 18 months through 14. The fit is great, with a little room to grow!

The pattern calls for a heavy knit fabric, I made these with some sweatshirt fleece from JoAnn's. I was pleasantly surprised how nice their sweatshirt fleece is! They have some weird wrinkles on one leg that I didn't notice until I finished sewing. No amount of ironing would get them out, I am hoping they come out in the wash.

I love the triangle color blocking on the bottom! I did the slash pocket option at the hips and used the same fabric I used in the color blocking for the pocket. The pants also have optional cargo pockets and welt pockets for the back, but I skipped those.

The pants have no zippers or buttons, so they are great for A to wear to preschool. They have a yoga waistband...yoga waistband + sweatshirt fleece = super comfy pants! Even my pants hating 3 year old loves these! They have soft ribbed cuffs at the ankles too.

These were a super quick sew, I had them printed, cut and sewn all in under an hour this morning!

These pants would be great for girls too, I want to make a girly pair this winter for Em. And they have an option for making shorts too!

Head over to the Bundle UP sale to check out the pattern for these pants and all the other great patterns you can get right now for an awesome price!

Really nice! Warm and cosy. I'm considering making some for my daughter. I like your choice of colours :-)
