It is Amelie's Pleated Ruffle Jacket by Amelie and Henri. It is scheduled to be realeased on August 31st but they are currently taking pre orders.
The pattern goes all they way from 3 months to women's XL! The pattern has the option of long sleeve or 3/4 sleeve like the one I made, and the adult version has an option for a full or slimmer skirt. I may be making one of these for me for the fall!
For my coat, I used cotton fabrics. The outer is from Riley Blake's Indie Chic line and the sash and lining is country cotton from JoAnn's. I love that big bow on the sash, but man it is hard to tie a bow in the from on my one year old! But it looks cute tied in the back too, then I don't have to work around her little helping hands while I tie.
It even looks cute without the sash all together. It closes with a little button and loop on the side.
The pattern is well written and easy to follow. There are no zippers or button holes so I think even a beginner with just a bit of sewing under their belt could tackle this one. The hardest part is gathering all that fabric for the skirt, there is a lot of fabric there!
