LLK Pocket Romper

Today I am happy to be taking part in the pattern tour for Little Lizard King's newest pattern, the Pocket Romper!  It is a really adorable bubble romper for sizes 0-3.  I was really excited to hop on the tour and sew this up, mostly because the pattern is adorable, but also partly because I think our bubble romper days are almost over (nooo!)  This little lady turns three in less than a month, I fully intend to stick her in this romper through the end of the summer, but this will be her last summer of bubble rompers.  So I am mourning the end of our puffy bubble romper days and kind of regretting not sticking her in more of these things...I mean look how cute this is!

The pattern features elastic straps and an elastic casing on the back so it is really easy to get on, Em can even dress herself in this.  It also has snaps at the bottom, we probably won't have to use those much, but they would make diaper changes a breeze on little ones.

The romper gets its "pocket romper" name from the nice big pockets on the front.  The pockets are trimmed with bias tape and the pattern calls for a cute ruffle on the pocket too.  I skipped the ruffle on this one.

Those adorable flutter sleeves are prefect for adding some fun trims.  I had just enough pom pom trim left over from this project to add to the sleeves.

For my romper, I used some fabric from Riley Blake's Saltwater line.  You have been seeing that fabric around here a lot lately (like here and here) I seriously love it!  And it is just perfect on this romper for summertime!

Do you love this romper too?  Well, Little Lizard King is giving away one copy of the pattern to a lucky reader!  Enter the rafflecopter below for your chance to win!  Thanks for stopping by!

  4. I, too, am mourning the loss of bubbles. My miss 3 is tall and has outgrown them but luckily I have a friend who just had a baby girl for me to spoil.
