Quiet Book: Three Little Speckled Frogs

This is my newest craft project, a quiet book for my son.  I have been thinking about making one for sometime now, I think he will really enjoy it.

We are planning a plane trip next month, all the way across the country so my kids can meet my grandparents.  The thought of flying for several hours with a 21 month old and a 2 month old makes me very nervous.  I am hoping this book will keep A occupied some!  Also, it is a good thing I started it a month in advance because it is a bit more time consuming than I thought it would be, this could take me all month!

It is all sewn by hand which I don't do very often but am really enjoying.  It is nice to be able to sew where ever I want instead of being stuck in the back room all by my self, most of this was sewn while watching the summer Olympics :)

This is my first time trying hand embroidery and I have been kind of making it up as I go along.  I have a ton of respect for those crafters who do all that stunning hand embroidery, this stuff is hard!

This first page was inspired by children's song "Five little speckled frogs" only I just have three frogs :)
